Welcome to Fourth Grade Frosting! I don't think of myself as particularly tech-savvy so the fact that I'm venturing into blogging seems strange even to me. I'm a 29 year old fourth grade teacher near Raleigh, North Carolina. I love what I do, even though I spend half my life exhausted. When I'm not teaching, I love to cook and bake (thus the name) and spend time with my two dogs Laney and Bailey.
I, like most of my teacher friends, am grappling with how to change my teaching to fit Common Core, how to get everything done in a day, and how to help my kids make growth. On top of it all, I'm wondering. . . 'Where do people find the time to do their job AND post so much cute stuff on TeachersPayTeachers?!'
After hearing a fantastic presentation yesterday from Jennifer Jones, also of Wake County schools, I've decided to dive in. I'm not super happy with how this blog looks right now, but I've taken some major steps in the last 24 hours. I've created my own TpT store, also Fourth Grade Frosting, and posted my first Freebie.
